ACTE announce new breed of thin Supercapacitors targeted at Internet of Things applications
ACTE, U.K’s are delighted to announce the launch of a new generation, ultra-thin range of electrolytic double-layer Supercapacitors from Cap-XX.
The new CapXX Thinline series are aimed at the growing number of low power Internet of Things applications, requiring more efficient power sources to run the latest Microprocessors and RF devices running off 2.75 Volts and below. CapXX supercapacitors are ideal in supporting these applications, either to provide energy harvesting storage or in conjunction with supporting batteries, for instance in low temperatures or pulsed power load applications.
The CapXX Thinline series initially comprise of 18 cell options, available in 3 package sizes, varying in thickness from 600um – 2mm. The package size options; 20x20mm (A series), 28x20mm (W series) or 39x20mm (S series) are capable of delivering capacitances ranging from 60mF – 2.4F depending on cell specified, whilst CapXX Thinline series offer a low ESR range, down to 16mOhm.
CapXX patented technology also ensures that capacitance leakage is lowest in class, just 1µA per cell ensuring they are suitable for today’s Internet of Things applications demanding extremely long power life. Military grade versions are available on request.
