Restriction of certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive 2002/95/EC
The RoHS directive bans the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronics equipment which contains more than the maximum agreed levels of certain chemicals.
The ban came into force in July 2006 and was more recently updated with Directive 2011/65/EU on July 2011.
Chemicals covered by the RoHS directive are:
- Haxavalent Chromium
- Polybrominated biphenyl (PBB)
- Polybrominated diphenyl (PBDE)
ACTE A/S fully supports the objective of the RoHS directives and work hard to ensure compliance.
As a distribution we do not manufacture or design the products we sell but, work closely with our suppliers to understand and manage the implications of the directive.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive 2002/96/EU
ACTE A/S does not distribute any items outlined by the above directive.
Registration Evaluation and Authorisation (and restriction) of Chemicals (REACH) came into force in June 2007. REACH has several aims, including the provision of a high level of protection for human health and the environment from the use of chemicals.
REACH aims to make the people who place chemicals in the market (manufactures and importers) responsible for the understanding and managing the risks associated with their use.
ACTE A/S is a Distributor and Agent for manufacturers of Electronic Components and Wireless Technologies.
The products that ACTE A/S currently supplies do not intend to release chemicals.
We have confirmed this with our suppliers for whom we import.
ACTE A/S will review the products on a regular basis should the portfolio change.
